A Florida television news station has shared some of the unanswered questions its viewers have been asking about the homicide of Gabby Petito, and the death of fellow Long Island native Brian Laundrie, the sole person of interest authorities named in her case. Police involved in the missing person case of Gabby Petito have acknowledged they made a mistake in their surveillance of Brain Laundrie. The North Port Police Department in Sarasota County, Florida, said in an interview on Monday, Oct. 25 with CNN affiliate WINK-TV that officers mistook Brian Laundrie's mother for him while running surveillance. A lawyer for the Laundrie family is now saying that 23-year-old Brian Laundrie flew home to Florida during his road trip with late fiancée Gabby Petito before joining her once again. Insider reported that Attorney Steven Bertolino said Laundrie flew from Salt Lake City, Utah, to Tampa on Friday, Aug. 17. With a record number of Americans hitting the road to celebrate the Fourth of July, motorists are seeing an uptick in prices at the pump. After weeks of seeing declining prices at gas pumps nationwide, AAA is reporting that on average, they’ve risen more than a nickel in advance of the holiday, which will see more travelers than ever.
