Police In Hudson Valley Search For Car Thieves Who Crashed Into Police Cruiser Police in the Hudson Valley are searching for suspects in a robbery that led to a police chase.  The incident took place in Rockland County around midnight on Wednesday, Nov. 30 on Red Schoolhouse Road in Chestnut Ridge.  Ramapo Police responded to 240 Red Schoolhouse Road (Manheim Distributors) for two suspicious vehicles parked outside and people walking inside the fenced-in parking lot wearing masks, said Det. Woman Visiting College Is Third Hudson Valley Storm-Related Fatality A 58-year-old woman visiting Mount Saint Mary College's Desmond Campus in the Town of the Newburgh became the Hudson Valley's third storm-related fatality and second from Orange County when a tree fell on her vehicle, police said. Lisa Resnick, of Rosendale in Ulster County, was killed around 5 p.m. Tuesday as she was sitting in her vehicle on the campus when a large tree struck the car, said Town of Newburgh Police Lt. Woman Killed After Tree Slams Into Car During Storm An 80-year-old woman was killed during the height of Tuesday's severe storm when a tree slammed into the driver's side of her vehicle in Rockland County. The incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday as the woman was driving south on Red Schoolhouse Road in the village of Chestnut Ridge during the storm when the tree toppled onto the roof of her car, said Ramapo Police Lt. Chris Franklin.  The William P. Faist Volunteer Ambulance Corps transported the Chestnut Ridge resident to Nyack Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries, Franklin said.
