20-Year-Old Shot, Killed After Stabbing Person At Hudson Valley Home: Police A man was shot and killed after state police say he stabbed a person inside a home in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County on Saturday, Oct. 5 in the town of Pleasant Valley. Responding state police troopers and Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office deputies officers located one victim suffering from a stab wound and another the victim of gunfire at the residence on Rawls Road, located just west of the Taconic State Parkway. Police ID Two Men, Woman Hospitalized After Wrong-Way Head-On Crash Police have identified three people hospitalized in a wrong-way, head-on crash that caused the closure of a stretch of the Taconic State Parkway this week. It happened on the southbound side around 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4 in Pleasant Valley just south of Exit 54 (Route 44). An investigation revealed a 2019 Mercedes Sprinter, operated by Jim George, 42, of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, was driving north in the southbound lanes and struck a 2017 Subaru Impreza, state police said. Motorist Killed In Crash Involving School Bus, Car In Area One person died following a crash between a car and a Red Hook school bus, according to Hyde Park police. According to Lt. Robert Benson, the crash occurred around 8 a.m., Monday in the area of South Quaker Lane and Dana Place. Once on scene, officers found a head-on crash between the bus and the car with a possible ejection.
