Duo, Including Westchester Man, Stole High-End Handbags In Fairfield County, Police Say Police arrested two men in connection with the theft of more than $20,000 in high-end handbags from a Fairfield County merchant. Members of the Greenwich Police Organized Retail Criminal Activity Unit chased three suspects on foot down Greenwich Avenue on Wednesday, Jan. 27, after they were observed steeling high-value handbags from a local merchant, said Lt. Second Westchester Man Charged With Stealing $10K Worth Of Designer Handbags In Greenwich Police have arrested a second Westchester man in connection with the theft of more than $10,000 worth of handbags from a Greenwich Avenue store. Gerald Smith, 48, of Mount Vernon, was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 20, for the Jan. 15 theft, said Greenwich Police Lt. John Slusarz. On April 4, Greenwich Police arrested Joshua Spillman, 40, also of Mount Vernon, and charged him with organized retail theft greater than $10,000, conspiracy to commit larceny and larceny.
