Man Rushed To Hospital After Shooting In Westchester
Police are investigating an apparent drive-by shooting in Westchester that sent a man to the hospital. A man was shot on South 2nd Avenue in Mount Vernon on Friday morning and transported to the Jacobi Medical Center, officials confirmed. According to a News12 report, he was sitting on the porch at the time of the shooting. The shooting remains under investigation. No other information has been released, police said. EASTCHESTER, N.Y. - A woman was allegedly stabbed during a racially-charged dispute over prices at an Eastchester hardware store, according to a News12 report. Diesha Rushie was shopping for a mirror at Cornell’s True Value in Eastchester, according to the report, and when she went to pay, the merchandise came up as more expensive then the advertised cost, leading to an altercation. Police Investigate Opportunistic Midday 'Porch Pirate' In Westchester
Although the holiday season has passed, police in Eastchester are investigating a brazen “porch pirate” who stole a package in broad daylight. Police officials confirmed that they are investigating a man who took a package valued at over $100 last week from a Park Drive porch, which was captured on surveillance video at the home, which was released by News12 on Tuesday. The man could clearly be seen in the video calmly walking up to the front of the home, taking the package and walking away before taking off in a car.
