Hundreds of high school students in Westchester staged a walkout in protest of an alleged sexual assault involving a student several years ago. A community is on high alert after a swastika was found posted in the vicinity of a high school in Westchester County, officials announced. Six new COVID-19 cases have been reported in a Westchester school district among the hardest hit by the pandemic. Interim New Rochelle Schools Superintendent Alex Marrero issued an alert to the community late on Sunday, Jan. 10 advising that there have been six individuals who have tested positive for the virus. Students and staffers in a Westchester school have been instructed to stay home after receiving a newly confirmed COVID-19 case. When the school year begins, New Rochelle students will be doing so remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. More schools in Westchester will be shutting down for at least two weeks in an effort to help curb the spread of coronavirus.
