A Connecticut man faces drunk driving charges after being involved in a head-on collision involving two cars in the Hudson Valley, according to authorities. The accident happened in Putnam County on Saturday, March 4, when police in Mahopac responded to the area of Union Valley Road and Shindagen Hill Road for a reported head-on crash. Man Caught Driving Wrong Way Shortly After Crash In Westchester, Police Say
A 44-year-old man was arrested for alleged impaired driving after crashing in a parking garage in the middle of the night in Westchester and driving the wrong way down a one-way street. An officer from the Scarsdale Police Department on patrol at around midnight on Sunday, Jan. 10 was checking the Freightway Parking Garage when he found property damage consistent with a motor vehicle crash. A 21-year-old driver was taken into custody after crashing onto a property in Westchester while allegedly drunk, police said. Officers from the Scarsdale Police Department responded to an Aulenrieth Road residence shortly after 1 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, when a resident reported that there had been a loud crash and flashlights outside the home. A man is facing a misdemeanor charge after allegedly hurling insults and profanity at police officers responding to a Northern Westchester home to offer assistance to a resident. Shortly before 9:15 p.m. on March 17, officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to a Gomer Street residence, where a local homeowner had requested police assistance.
