Greenwich Woman Found Dead In Stamford Park A 54-year-old Fairfield County woman who was found dead in a busy park likely died from a drug overdose, police said. The incident took place in Stamford in Mianus River Park around 8:50 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 5. The woman, identified as Melissa Tiefer, of Greenwich, was found after a person walking in the park early in the morning noticed her lying on a blanket off a trail and not moving, said Assistant Chief Richard Conklin, of the Stamford Police. Man Found Dead By Hikers In Mianus River Park Identified As Local Resident A man found dead in Mianus River Park in Greenwich over the weekend has been identified as a local resident in his 60s. The man, whose name has not been released, was found by a hiker in the park on Saturday, June 8, said Greenwich Police. "We have not released his name and the Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death," Greenwich Police Lt. John Slusarz said. Police are not releasing the name until a cause of death has been released in the event his death is ruled a suicide. A preliminary investigation determined there was no threat to the public.

Hikers Discover Dead Man In Mianus River Park, Greenwich Police Say Police are investigating the sudden death of a person in Mianus River Park in Greenwich. Hikers came upon the white male in his 60’s deceased on a trail in the Greenwich side of the park on Saturday, June 8. Greenwich Police said.
