Man Dies At Hospital After Blaze At Northern Westchester Home A man died at a hospital following a fire at a residence in Northern Westchester. The blaze happened on Tuesday, May 7 in Ossining in the area of Liberty Street and Spring Street, where a multi-floor residence went up in flames, according to Ossining Police. What was originally reported as a transformer explosion in Ossining that closed a road for several hours, knocking out power to dozens of residents, was actually caused after a tree fell on the lines, according to Allan Drury, Con Edison Public Affairs manager, police said.
