Not Over Yet: Westchester Four-Alarm Apartment Blaze Caused By Welding Plumbers Still Burning
Yonkers firefighters are still on the scene putting out hot spots and flare-ups at the apartment house where 150 residents were left homeless when a four-alarm fire ripped through the building. The fire, which began around 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 12 at 15 Parkview Ave. in Yonkers, was started by plumbers doing welding work on the top floor of the building, said Yonkers Fire Department Assistant Chief John Bonanno.
