Hudson Valley 20-Year-Old Fatally Shot After Facebook Marketplace Sale, Police Say A Hudson Valley man was shot dead in broad daylight while attempting to purchase a motorcycle off of Facebook Marketplace. The incident took place in the Bronx around 3:40 p.m., Wednesday, May 18 at East 144th and Exterior streets in Mott Haven, said the NYPD. The victim, Rockland County resident Jefferson Jimenez Hernandez, age 20, of Spring Valley, was found unconscious and unresponsive, with gunshot wounds to the head, NYPD said. Westchester Factory To Build MTA Subway Cars A whole host of new jobs are heading to the Hudson Valley, as the MTA announced a $1.4 billion contract that will be awarded to Kawasaki to build state-of-the-art subway cars in Westchester. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority Board announced this week that they voted to approve the purchase of 535 next generation subway cars, which will be used on lettered routes and the Staten Island Railway.
