Man Charged In $1.65 Million Jewelry Heist During Burglary Of Greenwich Home Police in Fairfield County have extradited a man involved in an alleged foreign national theft ring that moves from state to state wanted in the theft of $1.65 million in jewelry taken during a burglary. Greenwich Police charged Stefano Cortes-Munoz, age 30, of Santiago, Chile, with felony larceny and burglary in the Wednesday, May 18, 2022 burglary of a home in Greenwich. Capt. Four High-End Vehicles Stolen In Greenwich Over Holiday Weekend Greenwich Police are warning residents to lock their vehicles after four high-vehicles were stolen over the holiday weekend. The stolen vehicles in Greenwich include: A 2020 Mercedes-Benz E450 was taken overnight Thursday, Dec. 24 from Indian Drive. A 2019 Ford F-150 was taken overnight Friday, Feb. 25 from Sheephill Road. Range Rover, Mercedes Stolen From Driveway At Greenwich Residence Greenwich police are reminding residents once again to lock their vehicles and remove valuables after two vehicles were stolen from the same residence in one night. On Friday, a North Street resident reported a 2017 silver Range Rover and a 2017 black Mercedes-Benz were taken from the home, said Lt. John Slusarz. Both vehicles were unlocked and had the keys inside, he added. "Car thefts are continuing in the area and residents should make sure to remove the keys," he added.
