20-Year-Old From Northern Westchester Sentenced For Fatally Stabbing Teen
A man will spend decades in prison after fatally stabbing a teenager in Northern Westchester and proceeding to attack a fellow detainee while in jail. Jahliv Niles, age 20, of Peekskill, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison, followed by five years of post-release supervision for the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Omarion McKenzie. He was also sentenced to two years in prison with three years post-release supervision for attacking a fellow detainee at Westchester County Jail in Valhalla. In May, Niles pleaded guilty to felony counts of manslaughter and second-degree assault. …

A Hudson Valley man is expected to get 18 years in prison after fatally stabbing a teenager and getting into a fight with a fellow inmate at the Westchester County Jail, the District Attorney announced. IDs Released For Victim, Suspect In Fatal Northern Westchester Stabbing
Both the victim and the suspect in a fatal stabbing involving a pair of teenagers in Northern Westchester have been identified. According to an investigation by Peekskill Police, the two became involved in some type of dispute near the intersection of Howard Street and North Broad Street on Friday, March 27, at approximately 11:25 a.m. At some point this dispute became physical, and the suspect, now identified as Jahliv Niles, 18, of Peekskill stabbed 17-year-old Omarion McKenzie in the chest with a knife and fled the scene.
