Suspect Nabbed Nearly Exactly One Year After 20-Year-Old Shot, Killed In Westchester A suspect has been taken into custody nearly a year to the day after a fatal shooting in Westchester. At about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, members of the Yonkers Police Department responded to the area of Lawrence Street on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim inside the lobby of 19 Lawrence St. with a gunshot wound to his torso, Yonkers Police said. First Responders immediately rendered medical aid and CPR to the victim, and he was transported to a local area hospital where he ultimately died from his injury, according to police.  Officers …

Alert Issued For Missing 15-Year-Old Westchester Girl A 15-year-old Westchester girl has gone missing and authorities are asking the public's help on locating her. Gabriela Marquez was last seen on Hawthorne Avenue in Yonkers at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, and was wearing a black shirt and black pants, authorities say. She is described as being 5-foot-2, 135 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Two Families Displaced In Blaze Battled By 45 Firefighters In Westchester Two families were displaced on late Thursday night after a fire broke out in the upper floors of a multi-family home in Yonkers.   Crews from the Yonkers Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Hawthorne Avenue shortly before 9:45 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6, Assistant Chief Thomas Fitzpatrick said.
