Stop & Shop Closing Greenwich Store Stop & Shop in the Glenville section of Greenwich has decided to close due to the number of shrinking customers and declining revenue. "Stop & Shop has made the difficult decision not to renew the lease for our store located at 11 Glen Ridge Rd, in Glenville, Connecticut, as the store was not meeting financial expectations," said Daniel Wolk, of Stop & Shop. The store will be open through Thursday, June 15. Man Extradited From Westchester To Greenwich On Burglary Charge A man wanted for burglary charges was extradited from Westchester to Fairfield County, police say. Officers with the Greenwich Police Department Warrants and Extraditions Unit responded to the Westchester County Correctional Facility (10 Woods Road in Valhalla) to extradite Michael Taylor, 35, of the Bronx, to the state of Connecticut on Tuesday, June 11. Drug Dealer, 27, Busted During Search Of His Greenwich Home A local drug dealer was arrested during a warrant search of his Glenville home on Monday, according to the Greenwich Police. Sami Issa Suleiman, 27, of Riverdale Avenue, was charged with operating a drug factory and numerous counts of possession of narcotics, and possession with intent to sell, police said.  During the warrant search, police seized methamphetamine; psilocybin mushrooms; GHB, also known as a “liquid ecstasy;” and several forms of marijuana, police said.
