A teacher who lived in Westchester her entire life is being remembered for her devotion to her students and her caring heart. Lifelong Yonkers resident Darlene Fata died on Wednesday, May 31 at the age of 54 after a battle with cancer, according to her obituary. Denise Marie Martabano Lupia (nee Edman) of Winter Park, FL passed away peacefully with a smile on her face on February 21, 2022 with her husband David Lupia by her side. She was 63 years old. She was born in Kingston, NY on July 1, 1958 to Donald and Noel Edman. Denise was the eldest of five children and grew up in Katonah. A grant worth nearly $317,000 has been approved for the Chappaqua Central School District for its Digital Learning Initiative (DLI). On April 11, Chappaqua's Board of Education approved a Chappaqua School Foundation (CSF) traditional grant in the amount of $316,785 to purchase hardware, software, and professional development to support and expand the District’s 1:1 DLI.
