Senior Sargeant Christopher Filli, age 50, died while on duty with the Hudson Police Department on Friday, Jan. 12 in Columbia County, his colleagues announced. Filli, who was from the city of Hudson, suffered a medical emergency while on his shift that day. Further details about the incident have not been released. Former Marine From Hudson Valley Dies At Age 46 A Hudson Valley native and former Marine who died at the age of 46 is being remembered for his giving heart and love for his family. Playland Park In Westchester Pushes Back Opening Day Hudson Valley residents looking to hit up Playland Park in Westchester for Memorial Day Weekend are going to have to press pause on their proposed holiday plans. Officials announced that they were pushing back Opening Day at the amusement park for the 2022 season until Thursday, June 9 after previously saying it would be open in Rye in mid-May. Opening Day hours will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 9, with the park open only on weekends through Tuesday, June 21, at which point it will be open daily through September. Officers from the Ossining Police Department were dispatched to 9 Broad Ave. at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, where there was a report of a disturbance in the area.
