Blaze Prompts Evacuation Of Home In Hudson Valley Firefighters responded to an active chimney fire in Dutchess County on Wednesday evening, Feb. 12, prompting residents to evacuate. The fire, which happened at a home in the hamlet of Chelsea, was reported just before 7 p.m., with crews arriving to find heavy smoke inside the home and flames coming from the chimney. The Dutchess County resident has been identified as 42-year-old Sukanya Basu of Beacon. The incident took place around 6:40 p.m., Tuesday, July 18, at Fishkill Creek, said Det. Sgt. The incident took place in Dutchess County around 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 18 in the city of Beacon. According to Det. Sgt. Woman Killed Crossing Busy Hudson Valley Roadway, Police Say A woman was killed after she was struck by a Jeep Wrangler crossing a busy roadway. The incident took place around 3:15 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 1 in Dutchess County in the City of Beacon. The woman was crossing Main Street and Teller Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle, said Detective Sergeant Jason Johnson, of the City of Beacon Police.
