A New York woman is facing charges after allegedly distributing phony COVID-19 vaccine cards on social media, authorities said. Albany County resident Krystal Barton, age 36, of Cohoes, was arrested following an investigation by New York State Police. Troopers were first contacted on Tuesday, Oct. 25, with a report from the state Department of Health about forged vaccine record cards that were being distributed via Facebook. Woman Working For NY State Accused Of Stealing Checks Totaling Nearly $20K
An employee with the New York Department of State is facing charges after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from the agency. Albany resident Naelle Marius, age 30, was arrested Tuesday, July 26, following an investigation by New York State Police. The Department of State first reached out to police in December 2021 after it determined that four checks had been cashed by someone other than the intended recipient, police said. Proceedings at a New York courthouse came grinding to a halt after a protester released scores of cockroaches inside a courtroom. It happened Tuesday morning, June 7, at Albany City Court.
