Man Charged With Aggravated DWI In Area Twice In Three Days, State Police Say
A man involved in a hit-and-run crash and police chase was charged with aggravated DWI twice in the span of three days in the area, state police said.
On Monday, Oct. 5 at approximately 1:10 p.m., State Police Middletown responded to Garnet Health in the town of Wallkill for a report of a hit-and-run in the parking lot.
The vehicle was observed to be traveling on East Main Street in Wallkill.

Woman Found Passed Out Behind Wheel In Northern Westchester Charged With DWI, Police Say
A woman found asleep behind the wheel in the middle of the day at a red light in Westchester was reportedly driving with a blood alcohol level more than double the legal limit, police said.
Officers from the Yorktown Police Department responded to a stretch of Bound Brook Lane at approximately 4:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28, police said. Upon arrival, the officers found a woman passed out in the driver’s seat.
According to police, the officers determined that the driver, Yorktown Heights resident Karen Sokolik was under the influence, and she was taken into custody.
