Port Chester Baseball Falls to Fox Lane Backups

BEDFORD, N.Y. – Port Chester High School’s baseball team had a chance to avenge its 17-2 loss to Fox Lane on Wednesday when they traveled to face the Foxes in Bedford on Thursday.

Instead, all they received was more misery.

Fox Lane sat nearly all of its starters but still pulled out a 6-1 victory against the Rams. Five pitchers combined to throw a two-hitter for the Foxes and had a no-hitter into the fifth inning. The shutout ended after six and two-thirds innings when Port Chester scored on a wild pitch. The Rams struck out 13 times in the game.

Port Chester and Fox Lane do not play again this season.
