Katonah's Harvey School Looks For First Football Win

KATONAH, N.Y. - The Harvey School's football team, coming off a late 14-12 loss to Avon Old Farms of Connecticut, is looking ahead to Friday's visit to Randall's Island to play New York City's Dalton School.

The Cavaliers (0-2) let a lead slip away in the fourth quarter after Harvey's Sharif Koonce scored on a six-yard run in the third quarter to pull Harvey into a 6-6 tie and quarterback Will Levanthal hit Andrew D'Alessandro with a 10-yard touchdown pass to put Harvey ahead 12-6.

Harvey's offensive line of Christian Harrington, Tom Dowdell, Tom Gattuso, Buddy Rice and Will Leon were key in moving the ball in the second half.

Avon scored with six minutes remaining in the game and added a two-point conversion to slip past the Cavs.

Running back/cornerback Ricky Hicks rushed for more than 100 yards and added an interception on defense.

Dalton is coming off a 22-20 loss after opening its season with a victory over the New York Military Academy.
