CROSS RIVER, N.Y. -- John Jay-Cross River is on a major roll and Fox Lane is in a dangerous position when the teams play Friday, 7 p.m.
The Indians, 4-1 this season, have won four consecutive games, including last weeks 42-14 thumping of Horace Greeley. John Jay has demonstrated a diverse offense with numerous options, led by quarterbacks Tyler Keech and Jack Lambert.
Both are equally effective running the ball or throwing it. Halfback Danny Caiola is a punishing runner between the tackles and when he gets to the corner, has the speed to take it up field.
John Jays defense turned in a solid effort last week, holding Greeley quarterback Justin Ciero in check, before he left the game in the third quarter with an injury.
It has been a difficult season for Fox Lane, still in search of its first win. The Foxes, who had been shut out in weeks three and four, lost to John Jay-East Fishkill 34-21 last week.
