Hudson Valley To Host World’s Largest Golf Outing

NEW CASTLE, N.Y. – Hudson Hills Golf Course will be one of 100 locations in 27 states Monday hosting what has been dubbed as the World’s Largest Golf Outing in a nationwide effort to raise money for the Wounded Warriors Project.

According to the event’s website, the outing is being managed by Billy Casper Golf and includes teams from Westchester and the New York metropolitan area, including one from the Town of New Castle.

The event features an 18-hole scramble format and four-person teams, with no official handicaps needed. The local outing begins at 1 p.m. at the scenic 7,000-yard, par 71 Hudson Valley course, located at 400 Croton Dam Road in Ossining.

Prizes will be awarded for Lowest Score and Highest Fundraiser; golfers can qualify for the grand prize even if they don’t post the lowest score on Monday.

The fee is $70 per golfer, and a minimum of $5 for each registration will go to Wounded Warriors, an organization that supports America’s wounded, ill and injured troops. For more information, call 203-878-6060.
