The outcome was different for the Harvey girls tennis team as it suffered a first-round loss in HVALs.
Harvey’s girls varsity tennis team ended its season Monday, May 12, with a 6-1 loss to Chase Collegiate in a quarterfinal match of the Housatonic Valley Athletic League playoffs in Waterbury, Conn.
Harvey’s only point came in a No. 3 singles match as freshman Natalia Looney defeated her Chase opponent, 10-5.
“The girls did a supreme job all-around; a lot of great volleys, points, shots and rallies," said coach Christine Cahill.
"It was a great way to end our season; all of our players did an amazing job implementing the skills theywere taught by all the coaches, most especially head coach Lesley Boltz.”
