Public Gets Chance To Offer Input On Bedford Schools' Chief Search

BEDFORD, N.Y. -- The Bedford Central School District will hold a series of public forums and offer an online survey for residents to find out what qualities the district should look for in a new school superintendent.

Two public meetings will be held at Fox Lane High School for community members interested in offering their input on what qualities the new school superintendent should possess.

The district has hired the firm Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates, to assist with the process, but a key step in this process is to identify the characteristics residents and parents with students would like the new superintendent to possess.

To help, the board is asking for the community to help by attending one of two input forums and by taking an online survey.

The open forums for community members will be held Tuesday, Jan. 19, at 7 p.m. in the Fox Lane High School Large Cafeteria; or Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 10:30 a.m. at Fox Lane High School, in the Mary Lou Meese Theatre.

The survey can be found at www.ecrasurvey.com/bedford. Complete the online survey by Friday, Jan. 29. For more information call Carole LaColla at 914-241-6011.
