Peter and the Wolf Coming to Bedford Hills School

BEDFORD HILLS, N.Y.—The students of Bedford Hills Elementary School will be visited by a man and his wolf on Thursday.

“Peter and the Wolf,” the music and dance routine that highlights the music of Sergei Prokofiev, will be performed by the Phoenix Woodwind Quintet. The event is funded by the Bedford Hills Neighborhood Association. 

The event “will illustrate each character’s musical theme on a different instrument, sharpening the students’ listening skills and introducing them to musical concepts and themes. Students will help to act out the story onstage,” according to a release by the Bedford Hills Elementary Parents Association.

Bedford Hills Elementary School is one of the five elementary schools in the Bedford Central School District, spanning Mount Kisco, Bedford Village, Bedford Hills and Pound Ridge.
