Kat-Lewisboro Teachers Take Part in Cancer Walk

For the second year in a row, Katonah-Lewisboro teachers joined over 15,000 Westchester residents and teachers in the American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walk. The walk was held last week at Manhattanville College and raised more than $1.3 million.

This year, teachers Tina Russo and her daughter Samantha, Sheila Navarra and her husband Michael, Barbara Howell and Mary Jane Hamren walked together to show that Katonah Lewisboro teachers care.

It is the hope of the teachers that next year more community members will join them in their quest to help the American Cancer Society. Next year’s event will be held on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012.
