The asking price is $30 million for the 27-acre Bedford Hills spread. It’s called “Twin Ponds,” after the two ponds on the property, one of which extends under the house itself.
It was built in 1983 for Robin Roberts, the late interior designer. However, the photos on the listing for the property show that the house is completely devoid of furniture.
The home is currently owned by financier Marvin Schwartz, the managing director and portfolio manager at Neuberger Berman, and his wife, Donna. The couple have never lived in the home, The New York Post reported.
In addition to the six-bedroom, 9 1/2 bath house, the property has Japanese gardens; a pool house with full bar, kitchen and billiards room; a two-bedroom cabana with a gym; heated barn/garage; and a two-bedroom, two-bath cottage.
With all that, what else would one need? A gypsy wagon, of course.
