BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Bedford resident and environmental activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is asking federal agencies to intervene in the fray over Spectra Energy’s pipeline project, according to a report in lohud.com.

Kennedy -- who says he is concerned that the planned Algonquin natural gas pipeline expansion is too close to the Indian Point nuclear power plant in Buchanan -- recently wrote to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission to demand that they address "unresolved” issues with the project, the news outlet reported.
