Candidate for town supervisor Chris Burdick, a current member of the town board, and Bedford Town Board candidates Julie Hallowell Vulpescu and Meredith Black, all received endorsements. Simone Shapiro, candidate for town clerk, and Judy Aydelott, town justice candidate, were also endorsed.
Additionally, the county’s Working Families Party endorsed New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson for Westchester County Executive.
“As Mayor of New Rochelle, Noam has shown a deep commitment to the issues that the Working Families Party fights for: transparent government, affordable housing, and creating green jobs,” said Pat Welsh, chair of the Westchester Working Families Party. “He will make an excellent County Executive for working and middle class families in Westchester County.”
The Working Families Party is considered a grassroots progressive political party. More than 10,000 voters voted on the Working Families Party line in Westchester County in 2012, according to a press release.
