BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Route 22 was closed around noon Monday near the intersection of Mustato Road in Bedford after a tanker truck collided with a car and spilled fuel onto the roadway, police said.

A car collided and a tanker truck were involved in the crash around 9:30 a.m. Monday on Route 22 and Mustato Road,  Bedford police said. While there were no serious injuries reported in the accident, the collision caused the tanker truck to spill fuel into the road, police said.

A HazMat crew and a crew with the Department of Environmental Protection were cleaning up the spill around noon Monday, police said.
