Bedford Hills Inmate Charged With Throwing Cup Of Urine At Officer

BEDFORD HILLS, N.Y. – An inmate at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility was arrested on Thursday after allegedly throwing a cup of urine at a corrections officer, according to state police.

Shahesa Carvalho, 41 years old, of the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, was charged with Aggravated Harassment of an Employee by an Inmate, a Class E Felony, state police said.

On March 31, 2014, Troopers were assigned to assist the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision with a harassment complaint regarding the alleged incident involving Carvalho. In November 2014, the case was heard before the Grand Jury, who indicted Carvalho on these charges. Carvalho is scheduled to appear before the Westchester Supreme Court on Dec. 11, 2014 at 9 a.m. The New York State Police were assisted by the NYS DOCCS Office of Special Investigations.
