BEDFORD HILLS, N.Y. - John B. Curra Sr. of Bedford Hills died May 16, 2013. He was 83.
Curra was born Dec. 12, 1929, in Reggio, Calabria Italy, to Bernard and Rosina Curra. He has been a resident of Bedford Hills for over 60 years. He was a foreman at the Bedford Bus Co. and he was a member of Bedford Hills Fire Department for over 50 years.
Curra is survived by his children, Tina Curra, Linda Hanrahan and John Curra; brother, Sal Curra; and sister, Domenica Scalamandre and two sisters in Italy. He was predeceased by his wife, Carmelina; and daughter, Rosie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, May 20 at St. Mary’s Church, Katonah. Burial to follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
