Work Complete Along Bedford Hills Road

The intersection of Adams and School streets in Bedford Hills may not look the prettiest, but at least cars will be able to get through quicker.

Workers from Con Edison Inc. completed a gas main replacement at that section of Adams Street Thursday afternoon. Workers began work about a week ago.

Traffic was slowed down slightly as flaggers directed cars to one side of the road. But things should return to normal, according to Bob Gozzo, a subcontractor with Bibeau Construction in Nanuet.

“We’re going to backfill it and restore temporarily,” Gozzo said. “After that, we’ll repave the spots we dug up.”

Chris Gatti, an Ossining resident, said he didn’t mind the small traffic delay.

“They’ve got a flag guy out there and he’d doing a good job,” Gatti said. “It’s not that bad.”
