What To Do This Weekend In Bedford and Mount Kisco

BEDFORD, N.Y—With Thanksgiving fast approaching, the holiday spirit is upon the towns of Mount Kisco and Bedford, highlighted by the St. Patrick’s Christmas Boutique this weekend. But even the holidays do not have to dominate your weekend, as the towns have an assortment of activities to keep you and your family busy.

Friday

-The Katonah Village Library is showing Big Night, the 1996 movie staring Tony Shalhoub and Stanley Tucci at 7:30 PM. The night will include an introduction from screenwriter Joseph Tropiano, who wrote the film.

-The Grand Prix in Mount Kisco is holding a Strikes Against Cancer Bowl-A-Thon in their new Spins Bowl bowling alley. It’s occurring between 8 and 11 p.m. and all proceeds go to Support Connection, the non-profit organization that supports those who have been affected by breast and ovarian cancer.

Saturday

-From 8 to 11 a.m., the Mount Kisco Elementary School will hold their Pancake Breakfast.

-St. Patrick’s Parochial School is holding their annual St. Patrick’s Christmas Boutique from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., bringing vendors and local shoppers together in support of the school. There will be three raffles to take advantage of, along with food to purchase at the café.

-The Mount Kisco Public Library is holding its second installment of the Aquila Acting Workshop. It begins at 4 p.m. and is free to the public.

-The Finer Winer is holding an Early Bird Tasting Weekend, with Saturday holding their second and final installment. It will go from 4 to 8 p.m. and will feature the wines of Nick Radisic of Rad Grapes and Gary Mantis of Lauber Imports.

Sunday

-The final day to catch the Bedford Hills Community House’s presentation of Hairspray, the critically acclaimed movie and musical, starting at 2 p.m. Starring as Tracy Turnblad in the show is Katonah resident and John Jay alum Arielle Schechtman. The show will also be running Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 2 and 7:30 p.m.

-The Katonah Village Library is hosting the Top Brass French Horn Choir at 3 p.m., and the event is free and open to the public.
