If someone is looking for something to do with the kids this weekend check out some of these event being held in and around Bedford.
Need a good summer read? Want to get you child a good book to dive into this vacation? Head over to the Bedford Free Library Book Sale on Friday and Saturday from 9am to 4pm to find the perfect story to captivate your mind. There should be some great deals on some great books so get there early.
The annual Katonah Fire Department Carnival started on Wednesday and will continue running through Saturday. With dozens of rides, including a Ferris Wheel and giant slide, the kids will love it there, not to mention the game booths that can have them walking away with a prize or two. There is a food tent which offers hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage and peppers and chili just to name a few. Go there and make a full day of it, or stop by in the evening to unwind on some of the rides. On Saturday Ossining will hold its annual Village Fair from 10am to 5pm. At last years fair around 18,000 people showed up, so this is a big event for the town. There will be food, entertainment and lots of street vendors. This fair is located in downtown Ossining, just a short drive from Mt Kisco and Bedford. Visit their website for more information.
This weekend is the weekend of festivals and carnivals and Eastchester is making sure to get in on the action with their Green Day Festival. This all day festival will introduce you and your child to green ways of living. There will be different vendors, speakers and entertainment that will keep you busy. Check out this festival located at Eastchester Town Hall, 40 Mill Rd, Eastchester, NY 10709. Hours are from 10am to 4pm.
