MOUNT KISCO, N.Y - The Westchester Oratorio Society starts its 15th season this weekend with a performance at the Presbyterian Church of Mount Kisco on Saturday the 19th. The concert is titled “For Sacred Peace,” and will be lead by Benjamin Niemczyk.

The Oratorio will be performing Mozart's "Requiem" with orchestra and soloists, Verdi's “Quattro Pezzi Sacri,” Britten's “Lacrymosa” and Mozart's “Ave Verum Corpus,” according to Niemczyk. They will be accompanied by James Kennerly on the church’s pipe organ, which will be his third time collaborating with the Oratorio.

The Oratorio Society has played Carnegie Hall and the Brooklyn Philharmonic, among others. The group, which practices in Katonah, is also looking for “competent volunteer singers,” says Niemczyk.
