Mt. Kisco Applebee's Makeover on Menu

MOUNT KISCO, NY-- The Applebee's in Mt.Kisco is going to look a little different in the upcoming months. The restaurant is undergoing an interior change, taking down memorabilia and replacing it with digital graphic murals. "Our goal is to connect the restaurant with the community.  To create a sense of welcoming everyone in the community from all ages, into the Applebee's.  We feel that it is our job to make you feel at home and you know and recognize the decor within," said Christina Dell Angelo. She is a designer with Gate 3 Design who is working on the Applebee's redesign.Gate 3 Design has already redesigned a number of Applebee's including some in New Jersey, Virginia, Texas and other parts of New York. "The installation is scheduled for around September 5th," she said. " There are a couple different phases of installation and redesign we go through.  The first step is to take down all of the memorabilia, which will happen the day or two before the September 5th date.  The murals get installed after the memorabilia is taken down, and then the framed artwork will be added soon after."The memorabilia that is taken down will not be thrown out, but instead will go to a place that will embrace the historical aspects of the artifacts. "Apple Metro the franchisee of the Mt. Kisco location is currently working with the Mt. Kisco Elementary School to recycle artifacts being replaced in the upcoming renovation.  These artifacts will be returned to Mt. Kisco Elementary for display in the school as part of their 100 year anniversary,"
