The New York State Department of Transportation warns motorists that varying lanes of southbound Interstate 684, between Exit 10 (US Route 6/202) and Exit 8 (Hardscrabble Road), will be closed next week due to bridge maintenance activities. Closures will be in effect between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, beginning on Monday, August 22.
Work is expected to be completed by Friday, August 26.
Motorists are asked to drive cautiously through the work area and respond attentively to traffic control devices, zone signs and flaggers. The DOT reminds drivers that fines are doubled for speeding in work zones and convictions of two or more such violations can result in license suspension.
