Fall Fashion Arrives Early at Mt. Kisco Boutique

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y.— With fall just weeks away, shops around Mt. Kisco and Bedford are putting away their summer dresses and sandals and bringing out cardigans and boots. Tiger Lily Boutique is ready for this transition and has already begun to put its cooler weather collection on the shelves.

“Fall trends are soft knits, sweater jackets, tweeds and the colors will be greys, plums and teals,” Cathy Deutsch, owner of Tiger Lily, said.

To prepare for fall, Tiger Lily has gotten in an early selection of items Deutsch believes will be fashionable this fall. Deutsch said these items will be perfect for her clientele, which she describes as a woman with a “good sense of personal style and enjoys unique and beautifully designed clothing.”

The desire to wear unique clothes is something Deutsch keeps in mind when buying new collections.

“I seek out collections that are not in department stores,” she said. Many items come from designers around the world.

Despite the exclusive items, Tiger Lily aims to be affordable for its customers, especially in this economy.

“We believe in multi-seasonal dress,” Deutsch said, “So you can use all your items as the season changes.”

So if you are not ready to pack away your favorite summer dress just yet, Deutsch suggests adding a cardigan with a belt and boots to update your look for fall.

Deutsch opened Tiger Lily in Mt. Kisco eight years ago and owned an artisan’s gallery in Katonah before that.
