BEDFORD, NY - The League of Women Voters are sponsoring a debate Wednesday night at Fox Lane High School. Included in the debate are those running for the County Legislature in District 2 plus candidates for Bedford Town Supervisor, Judge, and Town Council.
County Legislator Peter Harckham, the incumbent, and his opponent, Peter Michaelis, will face off against one another and debate the issues. as well as the three-man race for the two Bedford Town Board seats. Those thee are the incumbents David Gabrielson and Chris Burdick, and the third candidate is Luke Vander Linden.
The town supervisor Lee V.A Roberts and judge Kevin Quaranta are running unopposed.
The forum will begin at 7:30 PM in the Mary Lou Meese Theater at Fox Lane, which seats 622. Voters will get a chance to hear and interact with the candidates and decide for themselves whose positions best mirror their own.
