BEDFORD HILLS, N.Y. -- The Record Management Center will be closed Friday for Records Management Day. Throughout the day, the Town Clerks office will sift through records in the basement of the Bedford Hills Town House, using the retention schedule as its guides on what can be kept and what needs to be thrown out.
The retention schedule lets the office to know whether a document should be held for a set amount of years or kept indefinitely. Those documents past their holding dates will be tossed.
According to Town Clerk Boo Fumagalli, the shred truck will be out to take care of the unnecessary items on Monday morning between 8:30 and 9 a.m.
