Bedford Police Pick Up Mt. Kisco Man in Robbery

BEDFORD, N.Y.- On Monday night, the Bedford Police Department arrested and charged a Mount Kisco man with first degree robbery and third degree assault, police said.

Michael Cucolo, of Mount Kisco, met an unknown victim in the parking lot of the Mobil station at 193 Pound Ridge Road after the victim thought he was meeting a friend at the same address. Once seeing the unknown victim, Cucolo "jumped" him, struck the victim several times in the face, and took personal items, before he fled on foot, according to police.

Once police responded to the gas station at 12:38 a.m., Tuesday morning, the investigating officers were somehow able to find out Cucolo's identity and named him as the alleged suspect. When he arrived at Middle Patent Road in Bedford, Cucolo was apprehended by police and found to be in in possession of a knife and the items taken from the victim, police said. 

Cucolo is currently being held for arraignment, and is charged with robbery in the first degree, which is a class B felony, and asault in the third degree, which is a class A misdemeanor.
