Bedford Hills Firehouse Expansion Progresses

Work continues on the Bedford Hills Fire Department’s $6.9 million firehouse expansion project.

The project, which is being funded by a bond that was approved by the public in 2008, will include a two-story, 7,100-square-foot addition that will make the firehouse handicap accessible. An elevator will also be installed along with a new emergency command and fitness rooms.

The project is expected to be completed in 2012.
