Bedford DPW Will Be Paving Roads For Next 3 Weeks

BEDFORD, N.Y. – The town of Bedford plans to pave several roads beginning Monday.

Paving should take about three weeks to accomplish, depending on weather conditions and proper operation of paving equipment, according to the Bedford Police Department.Target date for compleition is Sept. 7.

The following roads and parking areas are to be paved:

  • Harris Road from Beaver Dam Road to Bedford Center Road 
  • Baldwin Road 
  • Darlington Road (sections) 
  • Middle Patent Road 
  • Parking Lot 3 (at Woods Bridge Road) 
  • Park Avenue and School Street (section off of Route 117) 
  • Crescent Terrace 
  • Robin Hood Road 
  • Friar’s Close 
  • Matthew’s Mill Road 
  • Greenville Road

Police said commuters may experience temporary disruptions in traffic and road access as paving begins. 

Parking Lot 3 will remain open but will be paved in sections, police said, which means some portions may be temporarily blocked.

Police are asking residents not to park on the designated streets as paving proceeds.
