BEDFORD HILLS, N.YCamillos Barber Shop, a staple of the Bedford Hills community and those around it, was given an official New York State Assembly Proclamation by Assembly member Robert Castelli (R, C- Goldens Bridge) on Thursday in recognition of the barbers stature in the community for half of a century.
Westchester residents are blessed to have one of the nations best barbers right in our backyard, Castelli said. For five decades, Camillos barber shop has provided the highest quality of services to residents throughout the region, and has been an important pillar of the Bedford community.
Owner Camillo Astrologo is the youngest Italian in history to receive a barbers license, according to the release given by Castelli. Castelli said he was pleased to be a part of the ceremony and the establishment is what he believes is a sign of what good can come of hard work.
Camillo is the epitome of the Horatio Alger story, and has achieved the American dream through his hard work and dedication to his craft, Castelli said. His success is a prime example of what can be accomplished in America if one works hard and follows their dream.
