Katonah Businessman Puts Technology in Drive

Jeff Nyikos, a resident of Katonah, N.Y., is making the most of technology to allow his transportation fleet to communicate seamlessly with clients as they travel here and abroad. Nyikos is the president and CEO of Leros Point to Point, which provides executive ground transportation. He says his company just rolled out a new application that allows clients to handle their transportation needs through an iPhone application.

Listed in Limousine Charter and Tour’s August edition, Leros Point to Point was ranked 12th nationally for the size of its fleet, which is the largest in Westchester County. Nyikos says Leros may be headquartered in Hawthorne, N.Y., but is truly located wherever its clients need it. Nyikos says his company, which began under his father’s direction in 1983, has more than 550 partners worldwide to provide transportation all over the world.

The new application enables clients to make, change or cancel reservations, get receipts, view past trips and more. Nyikos believes the company’s focus on technology makes its clients’ lives easier by providing communication every step of the way. Point to Point chauffeurs text their passengers when they arrive at the airport and tell them where they are located. Clients receive email notification 24 hours in advance.

Nyikos says another new application will provide corporate events planners with software that helps coordinate the itineraries of those attending an event. For example, Nyikos says, that if 100 people were attending a conference, the program would streamline the group's transportation based on the different airlines. Vehicles and pricing are all determined quickly through the software.

Nyikos says the family company includes well-trained chauffeurs and travel coordinators. His brother, Chris, a resident of Yorktown Heights, serves as chief operating officer. With a fleet of more than 200 cars, Point to Point provides transportation for many Fortune 500 companies as well as private transportation for personal reasons. As Nyikos says, “We drive people who drive business.”
