BEDFORD, N.Y. John H. Troy II died June 3 at his home in Bedford. He was 76.
He was born Aug. 13, 1935, in Mount Vernon. Troy was the owner of Troy's Garden Nurseries. Started in 1887 by his grandfather, the Bedford nursery is now in its fourth generation.
He is survived by his wife, Meredith Folger Troy; a daughter, Adele Smiles; two sons, John H. Troy III and Matthew W. Troy; and six grandchildren.
There will be a service at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Barnabas Church in Greenwich, Conn. Sinatra Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
