The Bedford Village Free Library is busy with all kinds of programs this summer. In keeping with the New York Libraries summertime theme of “One World, ManyStories,” a raffle is taking place to win a handsewn quilt, made by SuzanneSunday, in which children’s book characters from different cultures are featured. The characters include “The Little Prince,” “Strega Nona,” “The Inch Boy,” “TarBeach,” “Aladdin” and several others. To see the quilt for yourselves, visit theChildren’s Room. The multitude of colors and the detail on both ends, with childrenof all nationalities pictured, is astounding. Raffle tickets for the quilt are one for $1;6 for $5; and 14 for $10. All proceeds will benefit the Children’s Room at the Library.

At the Bedford Village Pool, the library’s weekly Storytime is continuing onWednesdays at 2:30 p.m. through July.
